BCI DONATION OPPORTUNITIES

BCI proudly serves 1,500 elders in Southwest Detroit, each with a fantastic story, BUT we are not reaching the other 12,000 elders!! Please help us meet the need!!

$5 will deliver a poinsettia to a homebound elder at Christmas
$10 will provide an elder with an escorted ride to the Doctor
$50 will cover some minor home repairs to prevent further decline in their home.
$100 will pay for a month’s of daily friendly calls to 75 elders
$250 will build a wheelchair ramp and provide an elder with freedom
$1,000 will pay for an entire holiday delivery of flowers to 300 homebound elders

RESALE – Every Friday, we open up our resale shop to the public. Please come and browse through the great stuff that has been donated to BCI and support us while getting a great deal!! We also accept donations daily.

BIG HOUSE BIG HEART RUN/WALK - Running Fit and the University of Michigan are hosting this event on September 27, 2009 to benefit the charities of the participants’ choice. You have lots of time to train to Run/Walk a 1K or a 5K on behalf of Bridging Communities and raise pledges for yourself, or you can pledge one of us that will be participating! COMBINED FEDERAL OR STATE CAMPAIGNS – Do you work for the Federal or State Governments? You can designate a contribution to be taken directly from your paycheck for BCI. Our Federal number is 41968 and our State number is UO22-7514

There are many opportunities to volunteer at Bridging Communities.

Whether you are available to provide medical rides for elders during the week, or to help with Focus: HOPE food deliveries on the weekend, we can accommodate all schedules.
